BIG News for the Bleckwehl's!!

As many of you know, Mike has been actively searching for a new job- closer to the cities. His 60 mile commute to and from Lake City was not ideal for either of us. His has spent the last 2.5 months re-designing his portfolio and website in hopes of landing a job in the Minneapolis area.

We are excited that all of his hard word has finally paid off!!!! Mike has accepted an offer from Periscope, a large design firm in Minneapolis who works with large companies such as Target, MN Twins, United Health Group, etc. He will start as a Layout Designer on June 13th! Mike is VERY excited about this new opportunity, but will be sad to leave his 3 year career with Wild Wings in Lake City.

Now the big question is... renew our lease for one more year, or look to purchase our first home!?

Thanks to all of those who were able to help us celebrate the beginning of our lives together!! Our wedding day was exactly what we dreamed it would be. We are thankful for friends and family for their generous support.

HOME OWNERS!!

Well more like Home RENTERS, but buy or rent, we found a place to start our lives together!! We will be residing in a townhome in Apple Valley for at least the first year. We can start to move in July 15th but won't officially be there together until August 15th of course :) Mike will commute from AV to work in Lake City and has the opportunity to work from home a couple days a week. We are very excited and VERY releived we found a place to call home. Now it's time to fully focus on wedding planning.

Valentine's Weekend

Mike and I had a really great Valentine's weekend. It started off Friday night with mom making us a wonderful dinner followed by warm brownies and ice cream for dessert and finished the night by watching the olympics by the fire. We tried to relax after our long work weeks as well as getting ready for the big day ahead of us.

Saturday was a very exciting day for us! In the morning we spent an and hour and a half at Shane Co. picking out and purchasing our wedding bands. Mike picked out his in 20 minutes and we even walked home with it! Mine on the other hand... took a little longer, and I am still searching for that perfect wedding band. After our adventure at Shane Co., we grabbed some lunch and headed to Macy's and Target in Burnsville to start registering! It was so much fun to pick out items we need to start our lives together. We had a really great experience, agreed on mostly everything we chose and enjoyed the time together. We are still making ammendments to the registry so don't look yet! After a long day on our feet, Mike's parents treated us and his family to dinner at Enjoy restaurant in Apple Valley. We all came back to my parents house for an amazing dessert.

On Sunday we went back out and made some additions to our registry and then it was time for Mike to head back to Lake City. :(

Mike will be spending this next weekend with his Best Men and doing some shopping around for tuxes!

Happy 1st Birthday Brooklyn!!

We traveled to Milwaukee this past weekend to help Brooklyn celebrate her 1st birthday!! I can't believe she is 1 already- what a great year it has been. The theme of her party was Pinkalicous and everyone dressed in Brooklyn's favorite color- PINK! It was really great to see everyone.

Mike brought his rockband equipment! Is that my MOM I see playing the guitar!?! Who knew!

Andrea is now 3 month old. What a beautiful little girl, smiling pretty on her Baptism day.

Happy birthday to ME! I was so lucky to have my siblings home to help celebrate. I wouldn't have wanted to spend my birthday with anyone else!

Everyone sang Happy Birthday and Daniel helped me blow out my 4 candles.

Merry Christmas! Santa came and brought gifts for the little ones and a Wii for the Quist family! :)
